This page is dedicated to long range weather forecasting using astrological maps the same way ancient people predicted weather for millennia. Although it is possible to predict for the whole world using such maps, astrologers are not paid to deliver long range forecasts therefore time is limited and allows me enough time to only forecast local weather conditions. Scroll down page to read my winter 2009/10 weather forecast. Scroll below that to check the results of my autumn 2009 forecasts to see how accurate this kind of forecasting can be.....
The astro met community discussed the effects on this year's weather of the upcoming Saturn transit at minimum north declination at the begining of 2009 and did expect some cold temps. The Mars transit in Leo this winter is also an uncommon one at this time of year and here is a sample of a mail I share with the astro met community on the AW weather list in early Dec late Nov 09:-
For us in Yorkshire up here in the cold north, the last time Mars was in Leo at this time of year was !963, and Jupiter was also in Pisces then. We had the severest winter for over 100 years and a series of blizzards to contend with, while February, when Mars dispositor the Sun aspected it got the lowest temps of below 9.F when the tallest waterfall at Hardrow Force froze into one big icicle ....imagine that..... With the Sun ruling your asc I don't think you or we can afford to miss the main aspect the sun will make to Mars on 29th January when other planets are shifting in major ways as well. Saturn retro is in our fourth but Virgo is on the cusp and so very cold and stormy winter, but not the most freezing I don't think. There are a lot of stormy conditions coming along this winter and I found times when easterlies would be reigning at their onset. Saturn will bring in these gloomy and stormy conditions, and I did find lunar charts timing where the east was vulnerable, but I guess you have to match the lunar with the solar to find out when this would happen for you. I found a lot of electrical charts so perhaps the message is an intensification of cold at times and electrical storms....perhaps.......destructive in nature.....in Feb 1963 water pipes froze and communication systems were down. I don't expect such extremes of iciness this winter, due to different positions of other planets in the mix, but it does give some idea of how the Sun Mars connection in winter operated at least...........well for us here in Yorkshire it does...brrrrr McCormack gives electrical fires starting in the southern hem for this connection I think......so maybe there'll be more headlines about forest fires raging down under??

ASTRO-METEOROLOGY and Winter 2009/10
Unlike meteorologists, astro meteorologists predict months even years ahead, proving that it is possible to accurately see what weather is arriving without using expensive equipment or huge salaries!! Those of you following these predictions will note that also, unlike ordinary meteorologists, we don’t change our forecast two days before the weather is due!!!
It is possible to track the exact weather changes for each hour of the day, but it does take a lot of time. This forecast alone takes one full week to prepare, so has to be kept general, but key dates are singled out for main weather conditions.
This forecast is prepared primarily for West Yorkshire especially Leeds and Bradford region but other areas are also singled out for some weeks. Because we live in micro climates, sometimes one end of the city can experience rain while another area has uninterrupted sunshine, but in general the following interpretation will be mostly accurate in the long range. WINTER 2009/ 2010
Main body of forecast produced end of November 2009
We can expect a cold and stormy winter, but not the most cold, with some freezing over and snow at times, and some gusty squalls to contend with along with biting cold, dry, chilling winds. Get out the warmest clothes to protect yourself from some harsh extremes.
The south especially Cornwall, SW England and Southern Wales look likely to face disruptive weather and some major headline making events this winter, even as soon as the last week of December. The end of January brings headlines about disruptions to power supplies and water pipes. The North of England and Scotland, especially the SW Scotland will also encounter stormy weather to come, to add to that experienced mid November. The Severn area is cause for concern early in February, but hopefully I’m wrong…….
Tornadic winds likely around middle January and beyond, floods for our region after 27 January turbulent stormy conditions to the south of us especially the first week in February, with much snow around later that month combined with some stormy weather conditions to greet March.
An eventful time this winter weather wise so don't take anything for granted.
 24th-31st December
First of all I have to say there is so much weather for this phase I cannot be totally confident that I will cover all eventualities, I single out just some events for you to consider.
This is an eventful week weather wise with high winds along with hugely disruptive blizzards likely with the south, SW England and Wales getting the worst of it, with some flash floods causing havoc for Christmas celebrations to these southern regions from 24th onwards. A stormy phase ahead......
24th Here heavy showers are likely, icy, hail sleet and short sharp cutting precipitation is likely with blustery icy winds and breezes to keep you cold.
25th icy cold and frosty conditions with snowfall on high ground again any precipitations will be icy and there is potential for short sharp electrical showers bringing hail. Looks like a gloomy day with clouds bearing snow moving over in the skies.
26th-27th A more frosty outlook and more blizzards some with hail, sleet and snow will hit the headlines in our region as well. There could be a few sunshiny spells to break up the gloom, but breezes will be blustery north westerlies chilling and strong.
28th brings more wintery precipitation, heavy at times..expect snow hail and sleet showers. I expect most snow to fall on this day
29th More heavy precipitation, blustery breezes, lessening on 30th but heavier winter showers to arrive, even snow!!!
31st brings the heaviest downfall of all with floods expected to some regions with many flood warnings in place.
31st Dec 7th Jan
1st Still some gusty winds around less strong 2-3rd but by 4th gusty again. The heaviest precipitation is to be expected during the daytime, especially 3rd Jan when some electrical conditions discharge clouds. Night skies will be clearer with invigorating air especially overnight 1-2nd January. Some light snow attempts may be around 31st-3rd but there could also be some sunny spells to brighten everyone up.
4th Any showers will be icy, short and sharp with more gusty breezes to keep you clutching hats and scarves
5th Brings in electrical conditions and older temps especially late at night with strong breezes and hail if not snow showers likely.
6th Brings variable weather icy showers some gloom to deal with along with strong winds again to blow you around.
7th Windy still with some quick showers around so take your brolly. 6-7th sees some weather reaching us that has been travelling over from the Atlantic cold in nature of course….expect the air to be crisp.
7-15 January
8th Very strong nippy winds keeping fingers cold any showers including snowy ones, will be short lived and some sunshine around during the day.
9th A windy and wet day!
10th Another murky day with spurts of whipping gusty weather to contend with as well.
11th Still gloomy cloud around, cold and breezy
12th Rain with variable temps but frosty early morning and late night, sudden lows to chill the bone with north westerlies prevailing. Rainfall early morning for us, much heavier to the south by evening.
13th-14th Sudden lowering of temps after overnight winds bringing in chills, and potential tornado activity by 14th, some blizzards breeding also.
15th16th Cold temps strong windy conditions with more hail sleet and snow blizzards around. Frosty night by 16th easing mid day.
15-23rd January
17th-19th Strong high speed gusty conditions southerly and easterly brining easing of some icy cold temps and any precipitation will be short and sharp some sunshine with cloud around.
19th-20th north westerlies prevail…always cold at this time of year, still milder temps for the season but some attempts at wintery showers by 19th
21st Early morning frost and snowfall, still windy but more moderate in nature.
22nd A few wintry blizzards can disrupt the day, windy again
23rd Frosty temps winds stronger and more heavy wintry showers by middle of the day, continuing into the evening very strong winds around also.
23rd-30th January
A very wet phase, high precipitation expected at the beginning and the end, I expect more snowfall especially 23-24th
24th Similar to 23rd expect cold frosty mornings cold temps prevail some cloud around also.
25th-27th Still breezy but less likelihood of showers and skies should be clearer with some sunny spells but also sudden icy lows by 27th and frosts along with more gusty winds some from south possibly a tornado breeds on 27th some snow blizzards on high regions with high precipitation with flood potential in SE regions likely-Suffolk area?
28th Overnight showers start the day some attempts at thawing around mid day with wet conditions to contend with. Some sunshine but not enough to dry things out and temps will still be extra low for the next few days as well……..
29th Sudden outbreaks of icy winter showers likely, snow for some regions, especially late at night extremely icy temps but during the day the sun could break out but not enough to warm you up! A warning to make sure all water pipes are insulted from cold and power supplies could be affected at this time of the year while in Australia we could get news of spontaneous electrical combustion starting forest fires.Energy and power supplies can also be disturbed due to excess static in the atmosphere, so like boy scouts be prepared! Reminiscences about 4-5th Feb 1963 will be relayed in news items.
30th dry day sunny winds becoming stronger again later in the day some spray around mid day and last thing at night, not a good time to plan a walk in the woods! In spite of these conditions 28th- 30th should see some sun around loud and proud! Any wintry showers, especially on 29th will be short and sharp, though frequent.
30th Jan -5th February
Outlook windy, cold gloomy, wet with storms likely, heaviest to the south of England with winds becoming extremely strong gales, destructive in nature with the south especially vulnerable Expect strong winds to disrupt transport and travel plans.
31st Winds likely to be stronger and gustier arriving in spurts bringing in some spray mid day and last thing at night.
1st Variable temps and sudden lows, unsettled air with showers expected after mid day, winds getting troublesome now and for the next 4 days.

3rd Winds still howling and blustery but blowing clouds around allowing some sun to smile through.
4th Short sharp electric showers greet the day still gusty
5th A wet and oppressive day. Very heavy rain expected a stormy day cold and intense especially further south when drains come under strain from high levels of water draining of the land. Flood warnings to be expected.
5th-14th February
Generally turning into a drier phase cold and frosty in nature some sunshine with strong winds keeping things wintry, but some areas struggling with residual water damage at the outset.
6th Weather changeable drying out during the morning and more moderate conditions around, mostly cold frosty, some cloud but some heavy showers threaten later in the day.
7th Colder temps but everything points to this turning into a stormy kind of day with a chance of high downfall by evening. Some sun around 10-12pm mid day, gloomy late afternoon 3-7pm. expect very strong winds I expect Bristol Channel areas and Severn boundaries up to Blackpool and further north to be hit by this weather more than us….we’ll see…
8th Still breezy blue skies early morning to mid day again, any showers will arrive later an overnight.
9th-10th Still breezy, some snowy clouds in the sky and easing of temps.
11th Could see some early mist and frost any showers arrive mid eve 6-9 short sharp like hail or sleet.
12th More short sharp wintry showers heavier to the north with snow on high ground.
13th Cloud and damp conditions and mists in some areas but high velocity whipping winds to deal with and lower temps, easterlies very early morning veering NW by late breakfast.
14th Potential icy showers by 9 am, slightly milder temps mists or cloud around snow breeding conditions for some localities……..especially on those on high ground…Some strong N Westerlies could argue with easterly flows. Icy showers again to end the days well.
14th-22nd February
Generally varying weather trends with swift changes to weather conditions this week ahead. Cold conditions continue but cloudy weather develops with heralds some gloomy air but less biting temps as the cloud hovers to keep in any warmth that might be generated Any rainy spells arrive overnight thank goodness so some hope for a few sunshiny days especially late afternoon. 15th More snow attempts combine with varying icy lows less wind.
16th some white to decorate the scenery mild to no breeze
17th Wintry showers, hail or sleet like short and sharp intermittent also.
18th White cloud around, colder but some sun during the day, unsettled conditions generally.
19th Colder temps today with breezes blowing your breath away, any showers, snow for some areas, fall late evening.
20th Cold winds keep air extra cool ….wrap up warmly…
21st Clouds and mists around along with NW, showers likely overnight especially to the south
22 Very heavy downfall with north and easterly flow, a gloomy outlook ahead especially along our eastern coastal regions and NW Scotland Pembrokeshire and Cornwall look especially gloomy disease outbreaks are likely to be dominating the headlines this week and for some weeks to come. Some snow also expected to fall.
22-28th February
A more cheerful phase cold but some exhilarating air and sunshine to encourage gardeners walkers and sporty types .Some electrical precipitation short sharp and sweet characterises this weeks precipitation patterns…Neptune adds dangers of mistiness, some freak weather patterns and dangers of fog with high levels of moisture to be expected for the next 26 days till mid March and beyond…..don’t say I didn’t warn you!!! Precipitation will be sudden but lower than usual.
23rd Any short sharp icy showers will stop as soon as they began around 3pm otherwise more moderate breezes some cloud and moisture around and mistiness with some sun spells.
24th Late evening shower attempts after a sunny afternoon
25th A nicer day but cold overnight snow on high ground especially, dampness could prevail
26th Any showers arrive early but some sunny conditions, cold with blue skies for next few days some sudden gusty air flows.
27th Misty start early nebulous wind or breeze conditions some cloud but still good outdoor weather eventually, gustier air later. Very cold temps
28th Early showers variable day, breezy some showers could arrive by 3pm but expect these to be short and sharp, we will see cloud but some invigorating air, and southerlies bring a less icy temp to enjoy.
28th Feb-7th March
Stormy outlook towards the second half, humidity and electrical conditions at the start, cold windy with some heavy downfall in some localities, Kent/Suffolk areas most likely will experience the storms more keenly, some freaky or unusual weather, blizzards if not snow storms by 7th
1st Cold mists and frosts around NW winds, strong but clearer conditions by late afternoon with some blue sky and sunshine Any showers short sharp electrical in nature winds veer NW by midnight escalating in velocity.
2nd The promise of spring arrives today. Cold conditions to begin the day, but some more spring like conditions as the Sun gets stronger, strong wind with rain. Air sharp and clear some blue skies to enjoy by afternoon some cloud late evening and more blustery breezes.
3rd Sun with cloud a fair day generally after easterlies create a stormy start before sunrise
4th Showers may be around before sunrise sleet or snow showers likely, cold temps warn of a frosty outlook but clear skies again later
5th Brings extremely heavy downfall, cold temps snow on high ground some southerlies moderate the air, drains will be overstretched again leading to some flood conditions for some localities…..
6th Electric showers early morning by a milder though muggy spring like day with some south easterlies around, but this is a storm breeding condition which will manifest on 7th when very heavy showers are expected especially late in the day with high velocity north westerlies making things unpleasant, but clearing the gloom and static brought in by the south easterlies, though flooding could upset play in our region sadly. Hopefully some strong Jupiterian rays could also bring some spring like sunshine in the next three days 7-10th in spite of other conditions around.
7th-15th March
Another electrical phase with weather turning really nasty on occasions.
8th Early morning rain along with very strong NW winds clear and sunny after mid day cloud late evening
9th Winds continue strong gale force at times; any rain arrives by late afternoon with clouds scurrying along
10th Gusty sharp winds and biting, can be destructive in nature late shower by late evening some blizzard like conditions could arrive.
11th Early showers wind noisy, drier afternoon some sun expected.
12th Fog or mists around in valleys today keeping temps more moderate
13th more electrical outbursts hail sleet along with some SW winds but not altogether unpleasant.
14th Rain by evening, strong southerlies prevailing but meeting with some icy temps which can be a tornado breeder today but especially tomorrow 15th by 7 pm bringing an end to what could be a spring like day otherwise.
Both days cold and icy temps overnight difficult to locate the tornado on 15th could even be in our region. Snow and frost on high ground especially 14th-15th and continuing in some cold conditions for the next six days and more.
15-20th March
This phase shows the birth pangs of spring with some stormy outbreaks to accompany the equinoctial shift as the sun rises above the equator. Thundertorms are guaranteed 16-17th with winds and electrical outbursts expected in the days ahead. Temperatures can be very icy even though the birth of spring is in the air.
16th Should be a clear start, cold with developing static and overcast by mid day heavy showers likely. Changeable conditions t/out strong winds liven up the outlook by evening if not before. 17th Thunder and lightening expected with powerful SW winds to add excitement to the mix, some tornado type breeders expected.
18th Heavy showers early but blue skies, cold with some cloud as the day progresses some very strong SE winds around to warm up some chilly temps as well
19th Early overnight showers but some sun in the morning but an unsettled day, gloomy by evening when winds get stronger gale force velocity likely by 20th to greet the equinoctial shift.
Autumn Weather 2009
The Equinox chart heralds an autumn which is mostly dry in our region, with some bright sunshiny days to enjoy when even snow and frost soon gives way to mellowness; watch out for this type of condition late November and December.
It will be very cold with some blustery windy weather keeping temperatures chilly on occasions, with some strong easterlies arriving at times to increase cloudiness, damp, static and chilly conditions with very icy precipitation expected. I've paid more attention to wind conditions this forecast, but no guarantees at this stage of my forecasting in this area!!! However, I do expect some very strong gale force winds towards the end of October and beginning of November with news of isolated tornadoes in some localities being featured in Regional newspapers at this time.
Static conditions combined with humidity will cause sea frets and sailors, divers and potholers will need to take extra care to consult local conditions for tides before planning events to avoid disasters, particularly 28th October -8th November, when intense and sometimes oppressive weather conditions arrive throughout the UK. With more time it would be possible to be more specific about which areas are most affected, but sadly this isn’t at my disposal… suffice it to say some coastal, sea, lake, marsh, pothole and sailing events are likely to cause concern this autumn, some of them especially around these dates, unless extra vigilance and expertise to avoid danger is used.
26th Sept-4th Oct
27th Milder temps but breezes keeping things cool with erratic bursts of wind ........high velocity in some parts..Northeasterlies expected in some areas of the UK this could lead to high winds if not isolated and localised tornados activity.
28th Short sharp showers passing over before drier weather arrives
29th Winds turning more easterly
30th temperatures cooling but variable with sun brightening up the day
1-3rd Oct can see breeziness around cloudy mornings with some sun still trying to brighten the day, but very cool nights. Temperatures will be seasonally autumnal at this stage so wrap up warmly. Static can prevail and atmospheric disturbances which can impact on the immune system and there can be a rise in seasonal viruses and others thriving as bodily temperatures are lowered for the next 2-3 weeks....
RESULT Mostly accurate including reports by Friday 2nd that swine flu had suddenly started to rapidly increase outbreaks by as much as 50 per cent. The breeziness forecast for 1-3rd escalated into very strong blustery winds by Saturday 3rd. I didn’t find a report of a tornado anywhere in the UK for 27th, though high velocity winds were on course for Scotland before reaching us by 3rd and very wet conditions for the southern regions
4th-11th Oct
4th NE and SE could encounter some rainy outbursts and there will be spurts of strong north westerlies prevailing setting the tone of the weather for cold and damp conditions with the sun finding it difficult to chase away clouds.
5th Brings more windy conditions into play with erratic current often high speed especially to the south and N.E. We can expect some easterlies bringing in chilly temperature mostly dry.
6-7th we can expect easterlies bringing in cloudiness again along with wet spells including cooling the air but skies should clear later in the evening as winds veer to NW.
8-9 Bluer skies could prevail but any showers could arrive during the day times with less erratic wind conditions
10th Should be a pleasant day with some fine blue skies and strong ozone invigorating the air......any icy showers will be short-lived.
RESULT. The strong north westerlies arrived as predicted and Saturday was blustery with clouds, Sunday was lovely if still slightly windswept with another breezy and slightly cloudier day on Monday with temps lowering further. Monday was mostly dry but some scattered showers. Rain arrived quite heavily on 6th with scattered showers and heavy clouds …….even the wind direction curved easterly ENE by early Tuesday turning NW by Wednesday 7th bringing less cloud. The 8th brought blue skies as predicted with winds disappearing, and temps were down then 10th brought lovely sunshine mid day but cloud by evening with icy showers by 8pm……a pretty accurate forecast for this period.
11-18th Oct
Expect a lot of atmospheric disturbance between 13-15th Oct and NW Scotland is the worst hit as this phase begins with more intense weather conditions arriving along with misty and muggy weather. Breezes wringing in rain from 11th building to quite strong windy conditions by 12th but some warmth by the middle of the day keeping things reasonably pleasant though humidity levels can be quite high.
13th is wind and rain especially overnight but the day should see some variable sun and variable temperature with cloud, rain expected from afternoon onwards
14th More rain to southern regions, lower temperatures here, and dullness and some easterlies prevailing continuing into 15th as north westerlies arrive with cloudiness and chilly conditions. Some storms coming in from the sea could arrive at Dundee/Blackpool and regions to the west of us by the 15th
16th a clearer day with some static which could release overnight combining with strong westerlies that gain in strength becoming north westerlies from 17th-18th
RESULT:- 11th cloudy as showers greeted the early morning here, 12th brought some lovely sunny weather, icy temps to start with, but warnings of rain threatening Scotland…13th was very icy until the sun was high amongst the cloud, and by 14th early drizzly showers left a damp and muggy feel until the sun shone by 10 am with central and southern areas and Wales picking up some drizzly weather t/out the morning. Easterlies reported for 14th/Cookridge but only mild breeze conditions, by mid day mostly westerlies were being reported around Leeds while temps were chilly. 15th began overcast, gloomy and drizzly in these parts….while Friday was clearer and Saturday brought some sunny spells combined with some sporadic brisk breezy conditions
18-26th Oct
This phase promises some fairer days with humidity and coldness continuing, but some blue skies to enjoy and cheer up parts of the day till 21st
18-21 Expect strong westerly air flow and some blue skies to cheer up the day and by 20th we can expect some pleasanter weather ''north winds drive away rain leaving a mild and wholesome air and a slight rise in temperature 10-22. Less windy from 21-23 but by late 24th and on 25th some sharp breezes will be whipping off the remaining leaves from trees with more cloudiness to the north by 25th. Very heavy rain looks likely to fall over us by late morning 24th coming in from the west and travelling across Wales up to Scotland where high levels could cause some flooding.
RESULT: The strength of westerly airflow was breezy with some blue sky spells around 18-19, but interspersed with cloudy spells, while rain greeted us around 5am on Monday 19th, but cleared quickly leaving cloud but some sun and blue sky occasionally, temps cold. 20th BRRrrrr very icy temps 8* C with cloud creating a gloomy outlook to start the day…..a lot of stronger ENE blowing even more cold then heavy rain for us by 14:00 coming in from the west. Reports for potential flood levels were coming in as early as 20th for central and eastern England and all except west areas of Scotland, with even higher levels predicted over next two days…a little earlier than I predicted, but I did correctly predict flooding for this phase for Wales and Scotland…and we can expect more rain later in the week….whoops definitely got no blue skies today, so got that wrong!!! 21st began gloomy and cloudy with less icy temps, and slightly warmer, still some mild ENE breezes and ground still wet from rain yesterday which continued to fall overnight till early this morning. Flood warnings were still operative today for Brid and Scarborough..with 8 warnings in force in Scotland for Tay and Grampian areas.Cloudy and overcast for us t/out 22nd cloudy, gloomy with lots of static around occasional breeziness.with 23rd similar but a few sunny spells in the afternoon.. 24th – 25 really lived up to my prediction for strong winds and high levels of precipitation on 24th, and of course flood warnings were out in force in Scotland especially.
26th Oct-2nd Nov
26th Some strong winds can still be blowing along with damp conditions but a promise of fairer weather arrives---enjoy the promise! Sunshine with clouds today after lunch especially
27th Similar to yesterday but NW Scotland looks beaten by strong winds while here we get strong winds with rain amidst a stormy atmosphere with lots of static around.
28th Should be more moderate by the afternoon after morning showers, with clouds coming over from the wet coast
29th More storms hitting the rest of Great Britain overnight with rain locally early morning.
30th Expect early morning rain followed by sun with cloud as day progresses.
31st Clearer weather and skies with some sunshine around, but news of some destructive winds activity possible tornado type
1st Calmer more moderate wind flow with outbreaks of showers but much stronger winds by 2nd when rain affects mostly southern regions and again tornado type winds localised to some southern area. Rain will refresh the air relieving static conditions.RESULT:-This prediction worked out well from 26-28th, including a promise of fairer weather by some mets expecting an Indian summer this week…well not up here, as I said enjoy the promise! Yes temps were mild, breezes not as wild as I expected, but still a little blustery.
My prediction for 29th was inaccurate for Britain, but correct locally. The wettest places were in Scotland some precip moving into Ireland as well. 30th..very cloudy damp conditions reigned with mild breezes, but 31st prediction very good as a beautiful morning dawned in our locality, and yes, strong winds began later at night bringing rain here and for northern Scotland/ Isles, and the Celtic Sea area which greeted a glum 1st Nov. when flood watches were issued for west and southern regions.
I looked in vain this week to try and find those areas which the met said would enjoy an Indian summer…….it wasn’t here needless to say!….
My prediction for 1st 2nd for stronger winds and tornado activity to the south came true 3rd when a mini tornado hit the Hampshire area around lunchtime……….
2nd-9th Nov
Some electrical conditions relieved around the 2nd with variable temperatures and cooling winds, strong at times Showers will be short-lived from mid afternoon on 2nd while 3rd should remain dry
4-6th More settled weather some cloud with showery outbreaks on 4th but pleasant later in the day and bonfire night should see a fine evening here so enjoy spectacular firework displays. 6th could see some northerlies around with blue skies, some cloud and showers mid afternoon
7th Sunny clear skies and westerlies.
8th More northerlies but moderate keeping off the rain and promising bluer skies
9th Breezy but fine day.
RESULT:-2-3rd saw some afternoon sunny spells, cool temps wind still blustery, but 3rd was dry during daytime with showers by late evening….4th -6th very accurate, more settled weather with 5th great for firework events during the evening when it stopped raining to allow for no damp squibs! 7-9 saw some general improvements as predicted above.
9-16th November
A half wet half dry phase but we can expect any precipitation to be shorter but quite intense......
9th-10th static builds and high humidity with breezes prevails temperatures will build as the day progresses 9th should stay dry
11th Occasional wind, gusty breezes keeping the air fresh but exhilarating with sunny skies and moderate autumn temperatures.
12th Variable unsettled winds and breezes continue with misty conditions near water and lowlands with some sun and cloud around 12-13th overnight, heavy at times....
14th More moderate temperatures with whipping breezes to play with skirts, hats and scarves and autumnal debris again a tornado could breed in some locality in England......
16th is stormy with heavy rain interrupting outdoor plans the east of us could see the heaviest precipitation, stormy with whipping gusty winds.....
RESULT:-9th lovely sunny day with frost decorating the ground early morning, but temps rising as day progressed as predicted, with 9th dry but 10th brought some early morning showers.
11th…accurate prediction 12-13th fairly accurate prediction except the word ‘’rain’’ should have followed the word ‘overnight’ …. Rain was heavy at times from late afternoon 12th till early am 13th.
14th saw weather headlines for storms across the UK ,as well as tornado likely, while locally we had gusty breezes from late Friday, some rain by evening and later at night but, Saturday was dry with occ rain attempts that fizzled out.
My tornado prediction for 14th was accurate:- one at Evesham Worcs, Suffolk, 30 second event blowing down a 160 yr old Yew tree, when 100mph tornadic winds ripped through the county, three chimneys also demolished. Another tornado in Benfleet Essex took to the headlines damaging 60 properties. Not bad considering this was forecast six months before it happened…..
16th was as predicted also…
17-24th November
Much pleasanter4 weather to the south of England but hopefully some should arrive up here after the stormy weather in previous days. It will still be windy with cloud and easterlies prevailing with lower temps, but 18-19 sees better days with some sunshine.
20th is gloomy again with some humidity creating an uncomfortable climate and a warning of more rainy weather comes over from the west.
21-23rd breezes around getting strong by 22nd and stormier with strong wind brining in rain with thunder and precipitation can be quite heavy at times. Expect some sunny outbreaks late afternoon onwards.....
RESULT:-Certainly the south had fairer weather than we had, it was very windy here with cloud and easterlies bringing in some foul conditions with 17th bringing in the worst by evening till the skies cleared by evening on the 18th, bringing a much brighter day by 19th, but still very windy with southerlies and easterlies blowing gales at times. Of course sadly, Cumbria up to Scotland had the most terrible floods 19th, but we managed to avoid them on this occasion. 20th was gloomy, with some sun attempts creating humidity, with more spray attempts by evening. 21st still breezy, heavy mist greeting the morning and the weather did get stormier later as it rained constantly here till late evening and t/storms dominated Wales and East Devon and other areas at the turn of 21-22nd as predicted. Lightening was seen some areas such as Stoke on Trent and Stockport regions overnight on 21-22 also, with precipitation heavy at times but for brief spells between occasional sun spells for Sunday, and very heavy breezes as predicted for 22nd. 23rd was drier but still breezy, but the sun managed to break through briefly around mid day. 24th Nov-2nd Dec
Sunshiny days to start with some winds to contend with but these prevent clouds staying around and blow gloominess away eventually...whipping winds icy breezes bringing in frosty conditions at night 24-26th.

Some flood potential likely from last phase and later this phase by 4th due to heavy precipitation levels
This phase is characterised by variable winds sometimes cutting and chilling but often invigorating with extremes of activity to the west and especially coming over from off the SW coastal regions by 1st Dec with exceedingly low temperatures expected but variable and erratic in nature with some below normal precipitation with the wind currents bringing in descending cold air....
Similar weather to beginning of October but with a wintry feel temperature wise. Winds variable, sometimes cutting, often invigorating and more winds driving up the west coast of the UK, with high velocity at times bringing in erratic weather conditions over the coming days.
Residual floods will still be seen after the heavy precipitation witnessed at the turn of the month and by 4th December we will again see sleet snow, hail showers as more static builds and thunderstorms look likely by 4th.
Bluer skies follow the storm, but still some winds around drying things out, some gloomy days 7-8th along with easterly airflow

However we can single out some dates when seismic activity can be expected to herald news of an earthquake especially in Great Britain. Here are some of the likely dates when a high percentage of such activity can be expected to occur in 2009. Earthquakes can happen on the dates or one day before or after dates mentioned:------ 9, 16th, 17, 23, 29, 30, 31 January; 28 April; 12, 26 May; 8, 22 June; 5,20 July; 2, 16, 29 August; 12, 25 Sept; 9, 23, Oct;19th November
